Use the Labels window to add, edit or delete labels. Access this window using the Views->Labels menu item.
Fields:
| Label | Enter the name of the recording label. |
| Country Code | This field is intended to be used to store the country of origin for the label. If the Country Code is used, it will be appended to the label name (using parentheses) anywhere the label is displayed in a report or window. |
| Label Notes | This field will store notes regarding this entry. You may want to document where or how you found information about the data. This field will never appear on reports designated for display on a website. |
Buttons:
| New Label | Use this button to put the window into a mode that will allow adding a new label. When this button is pressed, all fields will be blanked, and the Edit and Delete buttons will be changed to Save and Cancel respectively. Once the fields are entered, pressing the Save button will commit the new label name to the database. Pressing Cancel will revert the window back to the state it had before New was pressed. No changes will be saved. Label names must be unique. |
| Edit Label | Use this button to put the window into a mode that will allow modifying a label name. When this button is pressed the Edit and Delete buttons will be changed to Save and Cancel respectively. Once the fields are modified, pressing the Save button will commit the changes to the database. Pressing Cancel will revert the window back to the state it had before Edit was pressed. No changes will be saved. |
| Delete Label | Pressing this button will remove the label name from the database. This action is unrecoverable. Only labels that are not assigned to any album can be deleted. |
